Story

The Growth Memo was built for the customer base of Funnelytics and used to break down 7-9 figure funnels. After Semrush added its resources to the operation in Q4 2024, we became the Growth Bulletin and expanded our scope to all aspects of business growth. We strive to become a staple publication in the business world alongside the likes of the Hustle, but with a stronger focus on applicable tactics.

Our team

Owen Mulhern

Owen is an ex-biologist (MSc from Imperial College, London) and environmental data journalist (Earth.Org, 2020 – 2022) with an eye for great stories and content. After transitioning in the business world, he became obsessed with the art of email marketing and has helped businesses and individuals alike grow and build deeper relationships with their contacts with great success.

Kitty Solbrig

Kitty Solbrig is a seasoned pro at marketing, content, and all kinds of growth strategy. She’s a marketing junkie whose obsession goes far beyond a full-time job. In her 14+ years working with entrepreneurs and brands, she has served as a mentor in startup growth incubators and on college campuses, led in-house marketing teams for successful tech startups, and built winning growth plans for companies in a variety of industries. As far as she’s concerned, she’s found her calling, and she’s grateful to support her growing family with a career that she loves.

Amy Hawthorne

Amy is a freelance copywriter with an agency background and a knack for giving personality to brands. With services spanning tone-of-voice development to copywriting for newsletters, websites and blogs, she’s worked with bold brands around the globe. She’s big on finding the sweet spot between engaging, exciting copy and conversions—to create impact with every piece.
